Jim has over 18 years experience in the construction industry having spent considerable time as an electrician and electrician supervisor.  His experience also includes having been the building services supervisor for a local community center, owning and operating his own remodeling business, and being a real estate appraiser.

 

Jim started his home inspection career with Seagate Inspections, Inc. in 2004 after considerable field and book training.  He has completed over 2,400 inspections in his tenure with Seagate Inspections, Inc. and is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) as well as the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).  Annually Jim completes on an average of 30 hours of continuing education to fullfill his commitment to ASHI and NACHI. Jim has also been trained and certified by the National Comfort Institute in Carbon Monoxide Analysis and has completed numerous tests on residential space and water heating systems.

    

 

Jim assists in investigative inspections for expert witness litigation that Jim Johnson, the owner and President of Seagate Inspections is involved in. Jim's personable nature and evident character make him one of the most requested inspectors on the Seagate staff.
